Kilburn Library is open for customers to browse and choose their own books and to use our public computers and study spaces.
You don’t need to book a computer in advance, PCs are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Access is limited to two hours per day. You can also scan, print and photocopy documents. View the Acceptable Use of Public Computers policy (PDF) and our Acceptable use of Wi-Fi policy (PDF).
You can return any outstanding books, DVDs or CDs on loan within the opening hours.
We also offer a range of activities for our library users, see: What's on this month.
Did you know you can borrow household, gardening or DIY appliances from The Library of Things rather than buying new? If you are only going to use a particular tool or device once, this is a green way to complete your task. The Library of Things is at Kentish Town Library and access is between 10am and 12 noon. You will need to join the library to use the service.
The library has a number of other measures in place to keep customers and staff safe.
Our services may change at short notice. For the latest information, see Library news.
Accessible toilet installation
Camden Council are installing a Changing Places toilet at Kilburn Library. These facilities provides sanitary accommodation for people with multiple and complex disabilities who have one or two assistants with them which will make the library a more inclusive space.
The installation will start on 28 August 2024 and take around 2 months to complete. This means the public toilets at Kilburn Library will be unavailable from 28 August until November 2024. We apologise for any inconvenience. If you need to locate a public toilet nearby, you can use the following maps:
