There are many opportunities for boys and girls to play football in Camden.  

Camden Active Football Development Courses  

During term time there are football sessions at Talacre Community Sports Centre for children aged 4 to 11. Sessions are run by qualified Football Association (FA) coaches and the sports centre has links to local football clubs.

4 to 6 years old Monday 4 to 5pm
6 to 8 years old Friday 4 to 5pm
9 to 11 years old Friday 5 to 6pm
3 to 4 years old Saturday 10 to 10.50am
4 to 5 years old Saturday 11am to 12pm
6 to 8 years old Saturday 12 to 1pm
9 to 11 years old Saturday 12 to 1pm

Arsenal in the Community football sessions

Arsenal coaches hold weekly football sessions for children and young people aged 8 to 18 years old at Fleet Primary School on Fridays. The sessions are free:

  • 8 to 13 years old: 4.30 to 6pm on Fridays
  • 14 to 17 years old: 6 to 7.30pm on Fridays

Complete the Arsenal in The Community Football Registration Form to book a place.

Camden Young Women and Girls Football Programme

The Camden Young Women and Girls Football Programme offers weekly training sessions for girls aged 7 to 16. New players are welcome. 

The sessions focus on developing player’s fundamental skills and creating the foundation for a lifelong love of football. All sessions take place during term time. 

If you have Better Junior membership, you can save money on the cost of the sessions: 

  • Better Junior Concessionary membership £3.85 
  • Better Junior Standard membership £5.25  
  • No Junior Better membership  £6.55

Sessions at Cantelowes Gardens Sport Pitches:

  • Camden U11 District Team Training: 4.30 to 6pm on Mondays
  • Under 13s and under 14s: 5 to 6.30pm on Tuesdays
  • Under 15s and under 16s: 4.30 to 6pm on Wednesdays

Sessions at Talacre Community Sports Centre:

  • Under 9s and under 10s: 4.30 to 6pm on Wednesdays
  • Under 11s and under 12s: 4.30 to 6pm on Wednesdays

There are also Weetabix Wildcat sessions for girls aged 7 to 11 years old at Talacre Community Sports Centre on Wednesdays.

Camden Youth FC 

Camden Youth FC is an accredited grassroots club with teams from Under 9s to Under 16s that play competitively in local leagues and competitions. 

There are 3 leagues: 

  • Regent's Park Youth League 
  • Camden and Islington Youth League 
  • Arsenal in The Community Girls League

Weetabix Wildcats

Weetabix Wildcats is a weekly non-competitive football session for girls aged 7 to 11 years old. Run by FA qualified coaches and volunteers it provides girls with an opportunity to try football for the first time or continuing playing while having a lot of fun and making new friends.

Weetabix Wildcats is held every Wednesday during term time from 4.30 to 5.30pm at Talacre Community Sports Centre.

It costs £3.45 a session but you can try a session for free the first time.

Book a place 

Places are limited so it’s important to book in advance. You can book online. You must submit your form by 4pm the day before the session (Tuesday), any forms received after that time will be allocated a place on the following week’s session.
