Day services
The Greenwood Centre
The integrated learning disabilities day service, formerly provided at Peperfield, Mayford and 96–98 Shoot Up Hill, has moved to dedicated, purpose-built space on the ground floor of the Greenwood Centre, in Kentish Town.
The day service meets the needs of people with learning disabilities, including people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well as those on the autistic spectrum. It also allows people to benefit from Greenwood’s other facilities.
The Greenwood Centre, located at 37 Greenwood Place, NW5 1LB, is equipped to meet both current and future needs of these groups, particularly those of young people moving towards living independently as adults.
The mental health day service, formerly run from Highgate Day Centre, has also moved to the Greenwood Centre and provides high-quality day services for people with mental ill-health using the facilities of the centre.

Kingsgate Centre
The Kingsgate day service in Kilburn is for older people living in Camden. The newly-refurbished building has brought together four services under one roof and is designed in a way which makes it dementia-friendly and fully accessible.
Our centre, located at 208 Webheath, Palmerston Road NW6 2JU, offers a range of activities to help maintain older people’s independence and wellbeing, such as:
- Exercise classes, yoga, tai chi and relaxation classes
- memory classes and cookery groups.
We place huge importance on social activities to combat isolation and its impact on people’s mental health. As part of our community inclusion we have a gardening group which visits a local garden centre when the weather is warmer.
We also run a stroke survivors' group, supporting older people recovering from strokes by helping them to rebuild their lives through supportive networks linked to their recovery.
Kingsgate has strong links with the local community and we have recently developed intergenerational activities with our neighbouring children’s centre.
To access our service we will ask for a social worker's referral to assess whether we are the most appropriate service for you but for initial enquiries, please contact the centre on 020 7624 8818 and speak to a member of our staff team. We also offer taster sessions by appointment if you want to visit.
We are a chargeable service so are likely to seek a financial contribution towards the cost. People can use their personal budget to cover this.
