Help keep Camden Clean

It’s your responsibility to dispose of your recycling and rubbish correctly. If caught fly-tipping, you could receive a £1000 on-the-spot fine, or £120 for littering including urinating on the street. This is called a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN).

Do the right thing with your waste

Report any street cleaning issues including public urination, fly-tips (dumped rubbish), litter, graffiti and dog mess using the Love Clean Streets app.

Support for community litter picks

We work with our partner Veolia to support safe community litter picks, including the Great British Spring Clean or World Clean Up day.

We are able to provide Camden based residents and groups with litter picks and bags for their clean up event.

Request litter picking equipment from Veolia

Whether litter picking by yourself or in a group, please make sure you follow:

Please note - Regent's Canal, Regent's Park and Hampstead Heath are not managed or maintained by Camden. We would advise you to contact the appropriate land manager first if you intend to pick litter in one of these spaces.

Clean Camden toolkits

Our community toolkits have tips on how you can help keep illegally dumped rubbish, graffiti and litter at bay in Camden.

Clean Camden 'dog mess' pink spray projects

We can provide cans of pink chalk spray to draw attention to dog mess that has been left in your local area. Email street.environment@camden.gov.uk with your details and to arrange collection.

Urination on the streets

Urinating in public is an offence. If you’re caught urinating on the street, you will be fined £120. In some cases, an unlimited fine can be issued.
