Business parking permits
If you are a business and require a permit for day to day use, we offer annual business parking permits and short stay hourly business permits if you need to use your car occasionally.
Annual Business Permit:
These permits are for businesses with an essential and daily need for a vehicle.
Short Stay Hourly Business Permit:
These permits are for businesses with an essential but occasional need for a vehicle and business visitors.
Who can apply
Businesses based in Camden that require a vehicle as part of the operation needs.
Only one vehicle can be registered per annual permit.
For an annual permit you will need vehicle registration document e.g. logbook V5 proof that the vehicle is insured for business purposes Camden business rates bill or business lease agreement evidence to show operational need. For example, daily deliveries and collections, or no access to off street parking facilities, or alternative methods such as courier or a delivery service would not be suitable. When a permit cannot be issued
A permit cannot be issued for:
- journeys to and from work eg commuting
- where public transport offers a reasonable alternative to car use
- where the business has access to off-street parking
- schools and any school applying will have their application refused
You will need

Fees and charges
Business permits are charged based on vehicle engine size or CO2 emissions. The permit will be charged at the highest emission tariff until DVLA evidence is supplied for a tariff reset. This also applies when the CO2 is missing where the customer is required to contact the DVLA and update the missing CO2 emissions
The air quality surcharge would apply to petrol vehicles that do not meet the Euro 6 standard (first registered prior to September 2015) and diesel vehicles that are not Euro 6d and Euro 6d-TEMP compliant (first registered prior to September 2019). Businesses will be issued a business permit allowing them to park in any permit holder bay within the Controlled Parking Zone the business is located.
