Pastoral Support Partnership Opportunity for International Social Care Recruits in North Central London Financial Support for Sponsorship Costs
North London Councils (NLC) received funding from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to help solve important workforce problems in adult social care. This programme supports care providers in hiring and keeping international social care workers across the boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Islington.
Financial Support for Sponsorship Costs
The North Central London Council is offering temporary financial support to assist care providers within the NCL region in recruiting displaced workers. This funding which is a one-off payment will help cover the costs for a maximum of two years associated with:
- Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) fees
- Immigration Skills Charge (ISC) fees
This support is designed to ease the financial burden of international recruitment while addressing displaced workers whose employers have had their licences revoked as well as addressing workforce shortages in the care sector.
Please note this is a time-limited offer, and funding is subject to availability. We encourage eligible care providers to take advantage of this support as soon as possible.

International recruitment toolkit
It’s important to hire international workers in adult social care in a fair and legal way. Care providers must also make sure these workers are supported when they arrive and start working in the UK.
The new International Recruitment Toolkit for Social Care, created by the Department of Health and Social Care and Skills for Care, gives providers the tools they need to do this well. The guide helps ensure that recruitment is:
-
Fair and legal, following all UK rules.
-
Sustainable, meeting the needs of both workers and care providers over the long term.
-
Person-focused, helping new workers settle into their jobs and communities.
